:wow: wait til you start doing work and walking round the house with it

I was like :to: when I had to put it back in the box to wrap it up. Honestly I'm going to either have to get another one for me or get a MBP cause using my big, hot, slow laptop got me really :sadcam: right now.

It was just so smooth to quote Jenkins

Why would you get an Air over a Pro though

Cause I did :heh:

Its hard to justify the getting a pro for more $$, weight and less battery power. Only thing missing is the Retina display. Not to mention it is for my wife. She needs battery life and portability more than anything.

After playing with this after she gets it for Xmas I can see if I need a little more oompf like a pro...

I got an Air too but if I was deciding between the two the Pro is better. Two Thunderbolt 2 ports compared to the Air's single TB1 port, HDMI out, better graphics card, Retina screen, still pretty light, and the battery life is like 1.5-2 hours less than the Air realistically. Plus the speakers are waaaaaay better than the tin cans on the Air.

Yeah ill definitely consider those factors when buying mine. Do you have a current gen Pro too?

As for my wife, she's the epitome of simple user and this is overkill for her. Just wanted to get something nice that will last a couple of years.

Nah, the new pros weren't out when I copped the Air. Since it isn't my main laptop anyway I probably would've copped the Air regardless.

Costs a factor but if I needed one laptop I would've spent the extra cash and copped the 13 Pro.

I got a Macbook Air after taking a Yoga 2 Pro back. This laptop is way better. It's not as powerful but who needs all that power? I have my desktop for video editing and music production.

It goes overlooked but this keyboard and trackpad are fukking awesome. Apple really nailed it there. You can use this thing on your lap and get all the work done you need to. The trackpad and gestures are so fluid you don't even need a mouse.

I've been a Windows guy thru and thru but this is a quality machine.
