One of the greatest performances of all time. Reminded them that the black man is the originator and God of the guitar at the end of the day and the foundation for all the music they play. Prince was bad ass in every aspect of his life. Outside the lollipop thing lol. Them crackers would have loved it if a white man did that. The haters was filled with hate. How dare he show up my legends like that :bryan:

parents need to invest in getting their kids music lessons.

You ain't lyin about that. I mean it's cool to give your kid a basketball, football or baseball but damn give'em a keyboard, guitar or some drums too. As much as I hate church...black churches (at least the ones I went to) had a music program. So kids would be learning church songs, on instruments and choir. And it wasn't like they'd just learn it to pass time, they'd perform a few songs on Sunday on their own.

They had a story where they asked Eric Clapton what's it like being considered the greatest guitarist ever. He said I don't know ask Prince

If that performance doesn't prove Prince is the all around GOAT, nothing will

Manz sung, played the guitar, played the piano, danced rapped, wrote music, played every instrument known to man, produced & arranged

Manz was unfukkwittable, musically

GOAT! My fav since my youth, bought Purple Rain soundtrack (cassette & vinyl) when it came out, I knew then, his string game was legendary.

:birdman: Handing out negs to anyone in here who didn't know Prince was an elite guitarist along with everything else he mastered.

I am comfortable and I love you
The reactions to that were wild at the time. There were some people claiming he was disrespecting what should have been a somber time, while others arguing hey man it's rock n roll, George Harrison would have appreciated someone sending him out like that. But the biggest reaction I remember was a looooot of people being surprised that Prince was an elite guitarist. The radio singles are one thing but Prince was ALWAYS a staggering guitarist.

One of my top 5 Prince joints and no one ever mentions it, props breh :wow:

Just look at the grin on George Harrison’s son’s face.
