You make it sound easy like somebody can just mosey their way into making $200k/yr only working 3 hours a day.

And then You still need a retirement. You still need health insurance which is expensive.
Breh you are literally making up road blocks and projecting them into what I said

I did make anything "sound easy" I just told you what it was and you're imagining some other shyt. I'm a freelance contractor myself and know plenty of people who have already left the business and started their own stuff, it's not that unrealistic at all, you prolly just don't have any friends doing that type of shyt so it sounds like a pipe dream to you

If you're intelligent enough to start a profitable business, making financial plans for retirement shouldn't be an issue, you should already be somewhat financially literate OR do your googles and pay someone to crunch that math for you so you can make a plan, cmon breh that's not even a difficult problem to start working on

I can tell you NOW if you're the type of person to think of roadblocks to stop yourself from doing something before you even attempt it, you might just not be cut out to be your own boss,.

And that's fine, maximize your potential by staying in whatever lane gives you the best results :yeshrug:

being a boss means using the resources available to you (like the Internet) to get around any obstacles and keep everything moving. You sound like you seek instruction from other people, don't flush your money down the toilet trying to force a boss situation.

I'm about to stop being Self employed, leave my company registered as dormant...
And jump on this 4 day work week with full pay that's popping off in the UK

Like my father always tell me work smart not hard
😇
Do they do 4 8’s or 4 10’s over there?

Only thing I don’t like about self employment is the health insurance premiums :merchant:

Everything has pros and cons. I'm not saying anybody is wrong, just saying easier said than done. Businesses fail everyday.

8 - 4 is the standard for teachers
However when I worked in delivary logistics (thats just mapping routes for mail) it was 7 - 2pm

I think 10 is the standard though

I actually was going to try working for myself getting into day trading/cryptotrading full-time. Study technical analysis, build tools, keep up with the market, etc. and treat that like a full-time job. It is a great feeling to put in an honest day’s of work and see money from it not because someone told you that you had to work, but because you’re building it up yourself.

However, I realized I can do that while working remotely as well so it’s like working two jobs. Ever since I went back to school for EE (out of pure interest, 2nd degree) I haven’t really had time for it though and realized I had to pick one or the other so I just make a big move here and there on a macro level. I think job stacking is also where it’s at. I know someone who got 8 jobs going and they pulled in nearly $2+ mil a year working a total 8 hours a day and not stressing about any one single job. I think that’s a form of working for yourself as well.
Explain :whoo:

what I've come to realize is the commoner is too afraid of failure to support themselves. People literally need another person to organize a business and handle everything, while they go in there perform a few tasks n get paid peanuts for that "job security"

Working for yourself is far too much of a risk for most people, because if it wasn't you would already have an exit strategy in place. I want yall to understand Im not totally ruling out working for someone else again. WFH does give you an insane amount of time to work for yourself, which is actually how I got my sht going in the first place. I would still be at Comcast if they didn't trip about me moving back to Chicago from Florida. I just want you to first realize you have to overcome that fear of failure first because any plan or strategy someone tells you, your brain will just tell you why it wouldn't work for you. That's FEAR

Yup, this right here, the kind of work I do I could absolutely maintain a WFH job while maintaining operations of my own sht. If you got side hustles working for you while working remote you're living the American dream.

Bro asked him what he does and this was his reply :laff:

Poo put ass ngga

1st rule of Overemployed: don’t talk about Overemployed. However, being upfront and honest does have its perks. Someone we’re working with right now is on contract but also works for Amazon. We know he’s doing it, Amazon perhaps doesn’t (not our business).

This guy explains that well:

So while you can do this completely behind employers’ backs, there is a lot of value to be open about it IF YOU THINK THE EMPLOYER/MANAGER/TEAM IS COOL ABOUT IT. Like I mentioned, our team and director are completely cool with it. Our company at the very top may not be, but our team operates the way it does so they trust us and we know the guy doing it is A1.

Look at my last reply. Example of dude working five jobs. The best way to manage it is taking on work that isn’t tough.

There are a lot of jobs out there that are like 1-2 hours of total of work per day. The more expertise in a field helps as well. I’ve worked 2 jobs before while day trading/doing crypto. Once I started school I let the extra job and crypto stuff go. However, I’m at a point now where I’m trying to get J2 again. Market is wack as shyt right now though. J3-J4 are very common.

Yeah that's what I disliked, the crazy thing is I feel like I was healthiest when self-employed full-time. I was in the gym 5 days a week, got 8hrs of sleep consistently, got plenty of sunlight, etc. But work was sporadic at times and that health insurance.....:damn:
