Maybe not work for myself is the right word I think I meant getting rich in general because honestly I want to be able to wake up when ever I want and do whatever the fukk I want to do at a moments notice

like what’s the best way to get rich/wealthy besides entrepreneurship?

My ideal life is traveling to different countries when I want to and staying as long as I want to while making music, nothing fancy or luxurious (but that would be a cool bonus). That’s it, I’m not asking for much :hubie:
Get a very high income job and invest mightily into passive dividends paying avenues.

Young grasshopper :myman:
I didnt quit but found my way into IT and tripled my income in less than 4 years due to hopping every year. Im testing the market in 3 months again. Plan is to finish my degree, fond another wfh gig preferably in cloud security, and invest majorly. Only debt remaining is the car. Do your stack now, breh, cause it was hard days working in the kitchen before I had my moment of clarity. shyt will beat any young man down.
I work in the defense/space sector
90K a year is not a 9-5
what you mean I’m mean salaried

I got sick of it as well but I negotiated with my company to work part time ( 3 days a week). They worked with me because I've been there so long. I love it so far. I still make enough to cover bills plus I have investments to where I should be pretty comfortable financially. Being able to do shyt when everyone else at work :blessed:

This actually brings up an idea.:jbhmm:

If you desperate, why not save and buy a house with cash? Move somewhere where property taxes are cheap. The idea is to get your living expenses as low as possible. If the house is paid off that means you only gotta pay property tax, utilities, and food with maybe cable. Say that all adds up to $1200 or so, you can easily make that part time.

Got a new job and it pays well (90k) but I’m extremely done with the 9-5 grind. I’m tired it Having to answer to someone and adjusting my own schedule. I’m stacking up trying to quit but this slow grind starting to get me vexed

Who here quit there 9-5, how did you quit, what are you doing to get money and how successful are you on your endeavor.
i started a business and I feel your pain about the bullshyt 9-5 grind. I was with a company for 8 years making around the same as you and honestly I got so tired of working for somebody elses shyt.
not going to get into what business I did start but its very low overhead and high profits. It is sort of a high skilled business to get into but achievable pretty easily if you are serious about learning. I set my own hours and don't have to answer to anybody but the IRS (lol). I make about 2 times what I made at the other job with less hours worked. I have no employees, its just me.
