mac's are inherently more secure though. but it's more like unix is more secure than windows uac...any linux flavor is just as secure as a mac

*Pixar and disney uses MAC to create their animated movies
*Mac's can get viruses but in the 2 years I have had one I have not had nothing close.
Basically PC user refuse to give Apple their credit, they make more reliable hardware, and their programs dont use as much resources as windows. They last for years, and unless you pay around $1000 for a pc, there is no comparison. and for the record I have both.

Sounds like my story. Had 3 different PC laptops in 3 years. Copped that macbook pro. Going 4 years strong. No problems or anything. I probably turned the bytch off maybe 7 times over the 3 year period.

I have a desktop PC. It's straight. It's not that I prefer mac over PC, my mac just waaaaaay more reliable.

what does pixar and disney using a mac have anything to do with anything ?

apple uses the same fukking hardware as pcs for most part. stop acting like they still use powerpc

most people who prefer macs over pcs because macs 'last more' are computer stupid. they cop a system bloated with bloatware install a boatload programs and go to bunch of porn sites without an antivirus, getting bunch of viruses.

they never restart their their shyt, causing tons of memory leaks. they dont know what format or defrag means.

if you know how to take care of computers, they last just the same.

there are tons of reasons to prefer one or the other, but preferring one over the other because 'it lasts more' is idiotic unless you dont know shyt about OSs and computers.

Look you fukking geeks,everyone has their own preferences. I enjoy PC's better cause you can build one and upgrade it for cheap instead of having to buy a new one every 3 years. Also Windows has more programs that i use that aren't compatible with MAC. I also know Windows better then my own wife. So at the end of the day,that's all that matters.

what people dont realize is that different OSs have different uses anyway. its not a xbox vs ps4 argument in terms of simplicity of comparison

for example, even tho solaris and osx are both unix-based, if Im doing ANYTHING related to serious networking, Im taking solaris.

.. I probably know more about computers than most people in this topic.. I have been dealing with windows pc's for the last 10 years, I work in IT, I have owned many PC's, shyt I have even built a few, I know what I'm talking about. I like mac because my shyt works with no problems, no viruses, no memory leaks, no defrags no system restarts after every program I install, and none of that stupid pre installed BS that comes with PC's. I paid a few hundred more for my mac and I get reliable hardware that was built to work with the OS, I dont have to pay over $100 for simple programs like office, my OS upgrades are only $20 and I dont have to upgrade my hardware just to install it. The money yall save on PC's upfront are used over time when you have to spend over $100 to have office, a good video and pic editing software, anti virus, by then you have paid the same amount you would pay for a iMAC or mac book.. The it last more argument comes up so much because just maybe there is some truth to it.
