Pepperidge Farms remembers ...

:mjlol:

"But Pepperidge Farms ain't just gonna keep it to Pepperidge Farms' self, free of charge...."

But yeah...I been saying this for years. Loyalty is a fallacious ideology in team sports because it REALLY only goes one way - only the players are supposed to be loyal. For the owners, the front office and even to an extent some fans, loyalty is not applicable, apparently.

:gucci: raptors signed him paid him and is offering him to a great organization. Not being loyal would be fukking up his fa money, sending him to a bs place like the magic and not giving a fukk. I don't know how you can make this thread when actual players have been treated like shyt noel and julius randle for example. At the end of the day basketball is a business and team goals change. He got paid he'll be fine

Kawhi wasn’t loyal to his teammates by telling them he was returning several times and always cancelling without any apparent reason. Then refusing to support them in their playoff run by traveling or cheering from the bench.

This loyalty goes both ways.
Frankly it’s fitting that these two are being traded for one another.

The Desert of Southern California
zac greinke said it best

"it's obviously the No. 1 thing," Greinke said. "I could play for the worst team if they paid the most. ... If the last-place team offers $200 million and the first-place team offers $90 million, I'm going to go for the $200-million no matter what team it was." (

DeRozan is acting like a petulant bytch. He was paid by the Raptors and was given chance after chance. He failed

Raptors have every right to move on

"your jersey will be hanging in the rafters as a life long raptor":wow:

Raptors gave him over a hundred million dollars and put a good enough team around him to get him to the playoffs for half a decade straight. Players aren't obligated to be loyal and take paycuts in salary negotiations at their expense for the sake of a billionaire owner. But on the flip side front offices aren't obligated to keep your ass on the roster over a real top 5 superstar when you're getting embarrassed in the playoffs when it matters by the same guy with a shyttier team around him for 3 years running.

DeMar has every right to be upset considering he loves and spent his entire career in Toronto, but to say Masai and the Raptors are doing him wrong in all of this sending him to the Spurs of all organizations is bullshyt at it's finest. :camby:

He is about to get a pay raise with the same contract. No longer getting double taxed, and texas has no state income tax. He will get way more money in his pocket. That said I understand where he is coming from. They looked him in the eye and said we arent tradinng you and then traded him. If they were upfront and honest he would probavly take it differently. This is gonna kill player trust in the org though, every player knows the FO is full if liars who are untrustworthy, if they would snake Demar they will snake anyone. Lol its a perfect reason why kahwi would not sign an extension

Something lost with this thread is Demar being told over the past 11 days in Vegas that he will not be traded. It ain't the contract or self importance that comes with being a $100 mil player, he was literally told by the Raptors he wouldn't be leaving. Toronto's basically saying we'll take our chances on a rebuild over having you long term so I'm sure he's bothered, on top of that mans already has depression.

He doesn't see it now but it could've been worse for him. He ended up with a franchise that has 5 championships and Toronto's rebuild will begin July 2019.

Idiots are purposely ignoring this.
