I can honestly say that this list doesn't mean much except for it might be hard for you to find a job in the area. Especially in our case because our town is broke.

With that said there's not a whole lot of danger out here if you mind your business, be smart about where you leave your car, be smart about what areas you're in during what times....but thats the rules for damn near every town.

If you read the article, they are going by crime in the city limits, not including the entire metro area.

Most cities in upstate NY are an afterthought, but they're not all great places to live,especially Buffalo. Really, Buffalo shares a similar story to Detroit; Ever since manufacturing jobs have left, the city has been on the decline. Not being able to replace those jobs, increasing poverty, and shytty governing has lead it to be one of the most depressing places to live at outside of Detroit. Not to mention Buffalo being one of the most racially segregated cities and having one of the lowest performing school districts in the country.
