No show me.
Alright.

Here's a simple example.

State X has 100,000 homeless people.
State Y has 10,000 homeless people.

State X has a 5 million residents.
State Y has 30,000 residents.

By raw volume/counting metric...State X has more homeless.
By rate, State Y has a far bigger homeless problem.

But, again, number of homeless is far too basic and stupid a way to determine poverty. There are several other things to consider.

"According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the national poverty rate was 11.4% in 2020. This is the first increase in poverty after five annual declines. These states and territories have the highest percentages of poverty in the country: Mississippi, Louisiana, New Mexico, Kentucky, Arkansas, West Virginia, Alabama, the District of Columbia, South Carolina, and Georgia."

This infographic was based on the poverty rate, not on the number of homeless folks. :jbhmm:

Notice how a lot of states that have more expensive real estate (CA, NY, FL) are noticeably absent.

This is just a hypothetical model. It doesn't mean anything. You're not even using real numbers.

Here's another article, NY tops the list, with California in 3rd. Hawaii is 2nd.
15 States With the Largest Homeless Populations

But yes lets move on. Do you disagree that Rochester has a high child poverty rate?

Also for consideration, these are the most populous states. So it makes sense that on pure raw numbers there will be more poor people but the Poverty rate is a Key factor and most of the conservatives states are poor.

1. California
2. Texas
3. Florida
4. Penn
5. NY

Southeast DC
He right about DC. The housing and rents are tearing folks up and section 8 got a long ass wait list. There's also the fact the DC has torn down a large majority of its public housing projects over the years. A good amount of folks got pushed out to PG County and Charles County because of that.

Don't even get me started on gentrification.

Damn, you're an idiot who's doesn't even understand the concept of straw-manning. No one is saying that there are no poor people in these states but comparatively to other states NY and CA are the wealthiest states. We need to address the fact that so many black men , including yourself, lack critical thinking skills which makes yall susceptible to right-wing propaganda. Unfortunately, many black men are mentally weak or lack critical thinking skills which makes them dangerous to the broader black community and agents to the white power struture.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
New York, California and DC are on the list because of the high cost of living and that people who make average salaries in both states are technically poor.

but nah if we talking actual poverty statistics based on poverty percentages. NY,Cali, DC aren’t even on the bottom 25.
