Havin high expectations for a 2 chainz album.

B.o.B should have released Who the fukk is bob? mixtape as a album, because atlantic had complete control of his debut. His mixtapes are a complete 1080 compared to his albums.

nikkas thought 2 Chainz would drop some TM101 type shyt cause he was coming off that mixtape killin the streets, but his shyt ended up sounding like a knockoff Lil Wayne album.

real talk....
riding around getting it,..
the song spend it sounds like lollipop....

anyway,...you could tell 2chains was running out of ink.
plus, him signing to another safe record label owner.
a record label owner desperate for street recognition.
who wants to latch off the hot trap rapper for street cred.
was not a good look for 2chains to sign to.
as, 2chains main appeal before being signed was he was his own man.
who got from out of the shadow, of another platinum artist to make noise,..
neither of the two guys he signed to, are capable of drawing.
maybe the paperwork was good,...
or, maybe internally the admin work from the past deal was so thorough he had to take the deal.
yet, if 2chains would have went after a distribution deal.
he would have benefitted with higher quality music and a higher draw from perception.

2 Chainz goin after a distribution deal wouldn't have worked. For one he doesn't have his own label, two he is a street/trap rapper and unless he wanted to stay doin nonstop shows exclusively in the south and Midwest he had to sign to a major for more exposure. Plus dude is like 36 years old he's tryin to cash in while he can.

Had he stayed indy like a Mac Miller dude would have probably pushed 15-20k max first week, no Adidas, Dre Beats commercials or apperances on Cac sitcoms. Trap music fans are loyal, they'll buy tickets to see you perform and d/l every mixtape you drop but they ain't payin for your album :heh:

I'm glad they included B.o.B.

I know duke is not even much attention any more, but before his album, he was dropping great material. His music was easy listening, thoughtful, he could rap his ass off and also sing his ass off. Didn't really care about the guitar, but whatever.

He had about 2-3 good mixtapes, and had some good buzz for his album. Dropped 2 big crossover singles, and had one of the few post-Relapse great Eminem verses on a song...the rest...disappointing.

List seems good,

Some I'd add (more disappointing to me than some of those listed, cause some of those I had no expectations over)

- Curtis (50 Cent)
- Crime Pays (Cam)
- BP3 (Jay)
- Recovery (Em)
-Yeezus (Kanye)
- Live from the underground (Krit)
- Welcome to our house (Slaughterhouse)
- Take Care/Thank me later (Drake)

Asher Roth? Let's be real..who was expecting any type of classic out of him anyway?

My vote goes to Slaughterhouse's shady debut..hands down, that was the album that was just SUPPOSED to be
