the 1st 2 jodeci albums got some of their strongest ballads/cuts but their 3rd album was the charm

As amazing as their slow jams were pretty much all their uptempo songs range from ass to forgettable at best

You can say that about 90% of 90s r&b groups

That new jack swings shyt really screwed up some potential classics.

It was tolerated when them shyts was on cassette because they could throw all that uptempo shyt on one side and the real r&b shyt on side B. you could just go to side B and play it out and be good

But when that shyt went to cd and you were forced to skip through them joints

But, for Jodeci the side A of the show the after party the hotel, still had some fire on that side. One of the 1st r&b albums of that time I can say that about.





Really sad this group broke up and couldn't get it together past their addictions, they were on their way to goat status.

The Show, The Party, and The After Party was some revolutionary shyt . It felt like the Purple Rain of the 90s from the raunchy ass songs to the whole true to form aspect. You really felt like you was on the road with them dudes, drugged up, fukking groupies, and being a wild deviant.
