I'd say neither could lace the greatness of the 90s but I'd pick the 2000's I remember being very amazed with the PS2 and XBOX after I stopped playing the Dreamcast, at the time it was normal to see many kids play outside and people being socially normal and most people at time had thick skin.

List is good besides fashion. Oversized throwback jerseys, jeanshorts and air forces was cringeworthy looking back in hindsight.

I'm seeing folks trying to retro that tacky ass fashion, I'd say 2000s was the worst decade in terms of fashion, I detested them shin length khaki shorts that CAC women would rock.
