i still have florida rated number 2 (behind louisville) even after the lastest debacle today, but their play away from home the last month or so has been beyond mediocre. i dont know why they prefer to play at such a slow pace, they are so efficient on both ends of the floor youd think they would want as many possessions as possible in the game. my top 3 rated teams virtually the entire season have been florida, indiana, and louisville in some kind of order. unless they get brutal draws (or are in the same bracket), i will probably have those 3 as final 4 teams. st louis is the team i would not want to play right now, they are playing fukking great hoops. majerus built a really good squad, and st louis is capable of winning the title unless the committee just absolutely fukks them with a tough draw for being a mid major

pitt is also a team whose numbers look real good on paper. they will certainly be underseeded as a 5/6 seed, and i could see them making a deep run. there are only 6 teams in the country i would make a favorite over pitt at a neutral venue

Conference tournaments have lost a lot of luster most of the 1 or 2 seeds dont give a shyt because theres no correlation to conference tourney sucess and regular tourney sucess in fact most teams can use the extra rest

Only time its meaningful is if a team that has no shot to make the tourney unless they win their conferemce tourney makes a run

pretty much. outside of uconn a couple years back, i cant recall a middle of the pack team winning a conference tourney out of nowhere and using it as a springboard to a deep tourney run. also i will never understand the obsession with the fukking 1 seeds. the actual benefit of being a 1 seed compared to a 2 seed is nowhere near what the media makes it out to be.

After beating the Commodores, he had some interesting thoughts to share, including that his goal for the post-season is to “make a name for myself so I can get this money.”
