CBS are some haters.

Dude said we are a 7-9 seed.:shaq2:

Top 20 team that went undefeated in the conference with a 30-4 record is a 9 seed.

We had a worse record last year and got a 8 seed.

yeah...but think for a minute...Memphis best win is Southern Mississippi...a team likely not in the NCAA tournament...that would mean Memphis has not beat a single tournament team all season long (unless Ohio beats Akron in the MAC final tonight)

those 30 wins don't mean a whole lot if they don't come against anyone...every big chance Memphis had for a win...they lost...lost to VCU...lost to Louisville...lost to Minnesota

I think that 6 line looks like a good spot...I think a 5 seed would be a little high considering as I just said...they haven't beaten a team of tournament quality all season long

MWC game should be good. UNLV is at a disadvantage since their game was so late.

I got y'all on the brackets tomorrow.

UNLV is at a disadvantage when they conference tourney is always at their home arena? :comeon:

they are just lucky that their conference consists of places that nobody wants to go to other than vegas so it's held there by default.

and what's up with the refs in the kansas/kansas state game? pretty biased against k-state so far...nikkas gonna be fouling out any second now.

That's irrelevant. Playing at your home arena doesn't give you more rest for the next day.

Bennett's disappearing again. By far my biggest problem with these star prospects is that they're drifters.

:yeshrug:

my feeling is that these kids know what they are getting into coming to vegas and playing for UNLV, i'm sure playing one late night semi-final game is FAR from the worst thing they've done to their bodies during their stay in LV. :demonic:

either way looks like the lobos are locked in a 3 seed and maybe a 2 if the committee really looks at their RPI and SOS.

Not a great team, but Harvard is also a tournament team Memphis beat that won the Ivy League, but they are on probation this year and cannot play in the tournament.

I mean...if we're debating the merits of a Harvard win that tells me how little Memphis has done in terms of quality wins

I don't always agree with Bilas, but I do agree when he says that at this point of the year everyone's proven they can lose...so show me who you can beat

:yeshrug: A lot of Top 25 teams have lost to very bad teams unlike Memphis. If you play in a conference with a lot of rank teams, then you bound to win against one top 25 team. Look at Tennessee and Alabama. We beat Tennessee who beat Florida. We in the tournament anyway so it whatever.

Is what it is...but neither Tenn or Bama even going to the tournament...Memphis will be on that six or seven line...if they deserved better they'll go out and advance further than their seed would suggest...that simple.
