Andre Drummond is still raw as shyt offensively hes got a long way to go people on here are cannonizing dude a little too quickly
That's the point. Nobody is really harping on his offense and everyone realizes he's pretty raw, but when he plays he manages to have a large impact on the game defensively and with his rebounding.
Plus, even though he is raw offensively, he manages to still impact that side of the floor too. Only reason Will Bynum has been eating off the bench the way he has is because in the pick and roll defenses are so aware of Drummond that most times the big stays with him and completely ignores Bynum. With his quickness he's able to pretty much get to the paint at will or be open for a pull up j. This also has led to a somewhat reemergence of Charlie Villanueva too, as often times with him being a stretch 4 and his defender sliding over to help prevent the lob, he's left open on the perimeter for wide open 3's.
That's why we're

over Drummond. This is him being raw and he makes a big difference on the floor. Imagine what it could be if he really learns the game. With those physical gifts, which also aren't fully developed yet, dude can be a real monster. And he still manages to get very solid #'s in limited minutes with that ability.
You can't pick basically his worst game of the season where he got only 8 minutes and use that as a measuring stick. That's more an anomaly than him putting up big #'s. Also, the person who he should be starting in place of, Maxiel, had 2pts, 3 rebs, and 1 blk in 22 mins shooting 1-4. Drummond basically put up those same #'s with 2 more rebs in 8 mins. They in full tank mode so I'm not tripping about Maxiel starting, but he could have done more than Maxiel with his eyes closed yesterday.
