Four in a row, back to .500 for the first time since the first month of the season….

Personally, I think this team would be more maddening if it hadn’t been for the last few years. I mean, I literally aged watching them lose to the Yanks in the WS, lose to Giants in the NLCS, lose to the Cards in the NLDS…. :snoop:

As we all know by now, it only matters if you’re in the playoff race come late August/early September and, if so, how well you’re playing as a team (AND if you’re healthy) at that time and going INTO those late months.

So I’m not going crazy over where this team is right now, they pretty much are what they are at this point. But since the Nats aren’t doing as well as most thought, it helps. Also helps that the Pirates are on this slide as of late.

Dom Brown….I said in the Phillies season thread that I think he’d have a great year. They tried to make him the damn SAVIOR when they called him up in 2010, and it wrecked his confidence when they sent him back down. All he needed was some at-bats. He’s proving that now. Sure, pitchers will start figuring him out, but he’s at least showing some glimpses of hope for the future of this team.

That’s my NL homerun-leading, NL Player of the Month outfielder. :to:

I think that Freddy Galvis, Cesar Hernandez and Darin Ruf are all the same way though, to be honest. These dudes need to play EVERY DAY, and as long as Charlie stays loyal to his aging core, they’re gonna potentially stunt the growth of these guys, IMO. People are already criticizing Galvis the same way they did Brown last two seasons….

At the VERY least, I expect these fools to go 5-5 on this upcoming 10-game road stretch: Brewers, Twins, Rockies…and we OWE those Brewers….

Haren really sucks.

Rizzo took a chance on him with the 1 yr deal, but hes horrible.

Nats need their pitchers to throw a dam near shutout to have a chance to win. Their bats are

Bryce is their only hope when he gets off of the dl.
