The Yankees were just better then them they year they beat them in the ws..i think the other year they should have won it was 2011 when they lost 1-0 to the Cardinals in game 5..

I think everyone had them pegged that year to win, from the preseason hype of this being the best rotation ever to the 102 regular season wins.

They were the best team but the playoffs are a crapshoot and they ran into a hot team
Plus they lost to Edwin Jackson against one of their top pitchers up 2-1 and a chance to win the series..thats tough to swallow
