You're right. Trading your best player for a QB with less success than Mark Sanchez, an unproven draft pick and adding salary is a move any team should make.

Giants pitching and the lack of Detroit's situational hitting was the problem. The Tigers pitched well enough to win, but when you don't score runs, it's difficult.

and about the other stuff, nfl is cutthroat. you get yours or get got. you flip a star for picks, lose salary,get another star in process hopefully, resume the cycle. thats how you stay successful.

or you can stick to your star but get nowhere fast
