This is why I always say "just get better umps /refs." Instant replay can be botched too.

Angel Hernandez is the Joey Crawford of MLB. He's such a diva.

So the Umps doing the Astros/Angels game just let the Astros bring in Wesley Wright, then take him out without having to throw a pitch. I turned it on too late to catch the histrionics, but I guess Scioscia was not happy (rightfully so).

The Angels are now playing the game under protest.

how does the protest rule work. if the angels win, do they still rule on the protest? id die if the angels hold on and win, then they win the protest and they gotta replay the game from the protest point on with the astros up 5-3

Nah, they win, the protest is nullified. I'm hoping the Astros come back now and win just to see all the fukkery, though knowing Scioscia, there will be fukkery regardless.

What explanation could the umps possibly give scoscia?

Good question. Olney was speculating on twitter that maybe Wright hadn't thrown any warmup pitches, and had came into the game by mistake...but then one of the broadcasts showed Wright making warmup pitches, then coming out. I'm dying to hear this explanation. I can't even remember the last time a protest was won.

Reuben Amaro Jr. has made many head-scratching moves for the Phillies over the last few years and signing Delmon Young to start as an outfielder was one of those.

Having said that: this throw is :ohlawd:
