The A's would of thrown Nathan in the bushes ages ago. Ausmus is exhibiting the antiquated managerial principle of "sticking with my guy" in spite of all logic.

Same thing Leyland did. That was the one thing I wanted Ausmus to avoid.

We know the Tigers aren't the A's though. Detroit is the team who signed Jim Johnson.
