The 2014 MLB Random Thoughts Thread

Good riddance Gardy and hopefully good riddance to the "Twins Way."

It was disgusting to see hitters leave here and go on to hit for power because this team was obsessed for everyone to hit like slap single Mauer. Get a Spanish speaking coach in there that our best players can actually communicate with, spend some money on a couple pitchers and make a run at competitiveness.

With Vargas, Dozier, Santana, Arcia, Mauer and hopefully Buxton and Sano sometime next year, the offense is pretty decent. Just can't have 4 of 5 starters ranging from shyt to decent.

Such a bittersweet time of the year. The pinnacle of the baseball season, but also knowing that it's gonna be over soon. May the Baseball Gods bless us with lots of Game 5s and 7s, and good luck to all on their quest for the Commissioner's Trophy.

So I'm watching '99 ALDS, Game 5, Sox/Indians, and a couple of observations:

1. Pedro is Pedro
2. Thome was doing some grown man things.
3. @ Hargrove IBBing Nomar twice, and getting BURNED both times, on the very next pitch, by O'Leary.
4. Interesting to see Pedro pitching to both Dave Roberts and Manny. If only they knew, that in 5 years...
