real shyt, i was lurking the betting thread and saw this quote from the homie buddy omar.

Don't know shyt about this game but I'm fading the Chokeland Gays. KC Royal moneyline

as soon as the royals tied that shyt up, i had a flashback from reading this shyt earlier in the day :dead: i really don't even follow baseball like that during the season anymore but, i watch the playoff. this was a helluva fukking game! question to baseball purists, who are the favs to win it all this year?

agree but wouldnt be opposed to a best of 3 in its place. im fine with it how it is though
Either or is fine but I don't know if its all that necessary. That whole September kinda being like early playoff feels for teams trying to get in make this preferred for me. I dunno what a 3 game series would do for a wildcard team but it might be too much. Having to deal with one big game is enough.

How long would these other teams be resting? That's another thing to consider.

damn you the first person to point that out, but yeah, nelson is THE absolute best ipa in my opinion.. then again alpine got the game on lock when it comes to the hoppy shyt: duet, hoppy birthday, bad boy, expo, etc. (not a real big fan of their non-hoppy regular offerings though, they're just ok)
i make the trek from LA to visit their brewery every now and then.. well worth it every time:lawd:
i made it to alpine last summer when i was in sd. only time ive had their beers. picked up a few of each when i left, and they had expo hoppiness on tap. the ipas were fantasic. wish they shipped out to vegas

They just need to cut the regular season and expand the playoffs more.

idk about expanding playoffs more AND cutting the season but they should have cut the regular season a long time ago. if they are going to keep 162 games then they should at least make these wild cards 2/3 games or somethin. 162 for 1 game? Its cool and having an extra team in the mix is cool and losing teams have no excuse about losing a game but 1 game cheapens the season and gives way too much power in home field since its only 1 game. idk

all true. theyd have to come up with something for rest/scheduling but at least 2/3 games is a bit more fair for both teams in WC and is odd that 162 games can come down to 1 game only. like i said im cool with it and am entertained but meh

Other teams want to keep momentum so don't think they would like waiting for 3 or more days to play. That's the beauty of the wild card, it pushes those teams to win the division so they don't have it blow it in one game. Oakland were sliding anyways, KC had the momentum going forward.
