Yeah downtown is gonna be a collection of all of Minnesotas worst. The drunks who are just excited to stay out late, the suburbanites who finally feel safe downtown even though it aint dangerous to begin with. Minneapolis gets over cautious whenever we have events like this. City is terrified of getting any kind of bad press. If you've never been over Northeast, you should check that out. A little more low key and good food but some of them Polacks are territorial over there

Been to Nye's, Bulldog N.E., Whiety's over Northeast. Hit me with any other spots I should check in that area.

Dozier is my dream acquisition, but hes under team control for years so they will either want a ton or just wont entertain it

Chavez/Pomeranz + one of the extra relievers would be a doable offer, just not sure if the Twins would like it

lol @ Matheny giving Wainwright the nod over Kershaw to start the ASG. Yeah, no bias there.

Lol, I have a feeling kershgawd will never get the nod. Matt cain in 2012 because of his perfect game (dikkey would have even gotten the nod over kersh), matt harvey getting the nod in 2013 because it was in ny, and now wainwright because matheny. So disrespectful to the best pitcher in the world.

I doubt the Twins would be looking to do that. I wouldn't be overly against moving him if someone really wanted him and gave up some top prospects but he is 27 already so I don't know if he gets any better. If he produces like this for the next 5-7 years, he'll be a top 5 2B but I'm interested to see how he hits next year when (hopefully) the Twins will have some more roster help around him

But if the A's get Zobrist :banderas:

I think every fan base that has had Nick Punto on their roster love his defense but can't stand when the coaches start him 120+ games a year because of his defense

yea, Punto's fine as a UTL guy but i dont want him starting in the 2nd half. Callaspo is a terrible defender and is not hitting like usual

i wish he wasnt named to the damn AS team because i wanted Josh Harrison as a sleeper trade target. but now his price is going to be high, i know PIT wants quality SP depth, and we have 2 relievers in AAA that would make that team easily

Zobrist is a good player, he'd be an upgrade but is a tad pricey. they have Johnson's money off the books next year so they are willing to take on salary

Downtown is garbage. A friend talked me into hitting Sneaky Pete's and The Imperial Room... Wack. Area is full of bozos, dimwitted suburbanites, and borderline stripper bum bytches. Much prefer the Uptown and Whittier areas for bars and food. Also, every damn cop in the city is posted up downtown - on horseback, on bikes, on foot, in cars. shyt looks like a dystopic police state. Also blown away by the sheer number of motorized wheelchairs in this city.

Just in terms of straight food, La Brasa. Creole style food and you get big servings. That's one of my favorite spots

Downtown area is slowly getting better. I think the Greenline will help. I try to avoid it, but its not horrible. 1st Ave (and its affiliates) is still one of my favorite fun places to go as far as a venue/club/etc in the country not to mention its where prince shot purple rain.

Bar La Grassa, Butcher and the Boar , Bachelor farmer and 112 eatery in north loop/downtown are great.

Uptown is going through crazy amounts of change, especially the Lake/Hennepin area. Not a fan of the yuppie bars in chino latino, cafeteria or stella's but the rooftop on a summer night :wow:

The lyndale area of uptown is pretty nice, muddy waters/bulldog/lyndale tap are decent bars that are right next to each other and french meadow is great for breakfast-lunch.

Kramarczuk, Nye's, Gasthof (had a nazi scare doe), Hazels, in NE

The happy gnome, blue door, groveland, in St paul.

I think I'm forgetting a lot, but the city is not bad, especially on a summer night.
