people downplay this team to discredit Bron - but they were frightening
When TD gave the guarantee that they were gonna get the job done this time , I knew it was a wrap for Bron in Miami
this team along with Kd's warriors still gives me nightmares

I didn’t include the 87 Lakers because besides the finals their opponents in the playoffs were historically weak.

The 67 76ers I agree but I wasn’t comfortable saying they were indisputably better
I feel you, but this was about the entire season. The 86-87 Lakers were arguably as good as the 85-86 Celtics.

LeBron's numbers during those Finals: 28-8-4 on 57-52-79 splits.

And the Heat never had a fukkin chance. Spurs were playing some of the best basketball I've ever witnessed. And totally unsurprising Bron dipped. When you put up those numbers and it doesn't matter even a little bit, you'd be insane to run it back.

Spurs won 12 of 16 by 15+ in the playoffs. Amazing run. 3 of those closer wins were by the mavs, the other by OKC.

The 3 year run once they got Diaw is one of my favorite eras. The 2012 team is one of the best teams I ever enjoyed watching, and still annoyed they lost 4 straight to okc

I've been a proud spurs fan for over a decade now. Back when everyone was rooting for the heat, I was that line fan in my class in college rooting for the spurs

Waking up in the morning to news that the spurs won game 5 :blessed:

My favorite team of all time. Just absolutely beautiful

Not a single player on that team averaged more than 20ppg

I think Tony Parker was the leading scorer at 17ppg

They went on a 19-game win streak and had the best record in the league. No one played 30 mins per game either.

Top 5 team in NBA history

Beat the brakes off a 2 time defending champ with 3 top 75 players

Probably one of the most satisfying title runs ever bouncing back after blowing 2 potential titles in a row (13 vs Miami, 2012 vs OKC)

They were on a mission that season

:wow:

Definitely a top 5 team

Their ball movement was just beautiful basketball, everything was with purpose and no shot was ever a bad shot it seemed.
They didn’t waste any ball possession and their shooters fired shots with consistency and accuracy. Nothing went to waste

My favorite moment of that series:wow:

and people were calling this team and their style of play "boring":francis:
The Spurs of the aughts was not the same Spurs as that ‘14 team.

The aughts Spurs was give the ball to Duncan and let him figure it out. That was boring basketball.

That ‘14 team was the Ginobli/Parker show.
