yeah giving lincecum and peavy over 15m per after they were clearly were great decisions

sabes been great this year besides the peavy contract tho, Ill give you that. stopped chasing those long FA contracts. low risk signings for most part.

we need to see what happens to pitching at the deadline though. if sabes trades the little we have in farm for someone like mike leake ....Id have to retract my statement

I remember when folks used to complain about the Giants not being able to develop hitters now they got Posey,Belt, Crawford, Duffy, Susac, etc. I wonder what the difference has been? Very similar to the Cardinals in their ability to develop homegrown talent.
