Kind of like how the rest of us don't get why you're so critical of Sabean.

The Tigers have a heinous back end of the rotation and Price has been their only reliable starter all season. Their usual wildfire in the bullpen has continued this season with even more gas cans than usual.

The lineup is still really good, but Miggy is out for 5-6 more weeks and they're kind of an all or nothing bunch. Plus, Ausmus is a fukking moron.

nah this year was the first I heard yall saying 'blow it up'.

baseball seems to me like a 'get in the offs- anything can happen' type of shyt. well in theory, in practice cards and giants keep winning it :pachaha:

:rudy: theres a big difference- you know why Im critical of sabean - his shytty trades and long contracts to over the hill :flabbynsick: players and his love for :flabbynsick: in general.
and I dont think the three rings or winning means we need to close our eyes on bad decisions and wipe them under the rug like they did not happen
the good thing is, looks like sabean learned the lessons and hes off the long shytty contract steeze

anyway, I didnt really know whats going on with the tigers because I dont watch their games :manny: at least I know now. AL seems to be an open race for wild card and looked to me like tigers can get it.

Sabean is one of the best GMs in baseball. Dombrowski has simply had a near endless wallet in Detroit. Their farm system is a fukking joke.

You know how the Giants consistently develop their own quality starters? Lincecum, Cain, Bumgarner, Heston...the only guy Dombrowski has developed is Verlander. Instead of the next Heston coming up, we get to watch guys like Buck Farmer.

Position players: SF develops guys like Posey, Panik, Crawford, Sandoval and Belt. The Tigers develop Nick Castellanos and Alex Avila. :heh:

:flabbynsick: contracts you say? You know Detroit has that area covered. MUCH worse than SF has ever done. They have the equivalent of FIVE Zito contracts going to the end of the decade.

You have next to nothing to complain about with Sabean.

The Tigers are about to lose Max Scherzer and David Price in consecutive offseasons for nothing. Dombrowski's contract ends after this season, so he has no reason to trade Price (or Cespedes, Soria and Simon for that matter). They are going to be completely fukked going into the winter.

I never said your GM is better. just because there are many GMs worse than sabean doesnt make him a very good GM, sorry.

sure, you can give him credit for young players, but thats more on scouting and years of sucking. where were these positional young players between 2002 and 2009 ? the best guy we had was pedro feliz. we couldve used a sandoval or posey in the 2002 WS when we were dhing bum ass tsyoshi shinjo

sabean was going full retard trying to win now with barry bonds and he failed big time. it took him 20 years to understand that no big contracts, low risk/high reward signings and developing homegrown players are the keys to success.

sounds like your gm was doing the same shyt trying to build around miggy price and verlander and that shyt fell apart once verlander went :flabbynsick:

low key, my boys are struggling big time against the dbacks :heh:
this is comedy right now. wasted two leadoff doubles in a row, then pitcher got a bunt single, scored on an error and wasted bases loaded 1 out again.

and bochys micromanaging caught up with him and vogelsong is about to try to 'close' the game :heh:
