Attendance here is nothing to write home about, but it's not like the 2 owners of the team are exactly paupers (even though they spend as if they are). They're still billionaires and make money aside from the team, plus they've been taking advantage of the MLB's collective bargaining agreement.

The Nationals, of course, have Drew Storen pitching exceptionally well in the ninth inning this season, but if and when a deal is finalized, he seems likely to slide back to the eighth inning, returning to a setup role which he has handled with aplomb in the past.
