I trashed it because simply it wasn't a good move for a rental, not because sabean made it. I trashed the jays getting price move and theres certainly no sabean there

giving up prospects for rentals is the dumbest thing in baseball unless you get a much better chance of them re-signing or you win it all. you give up a bunch of cheap, young prospects who can potentially be solid players for cheap, and at very least solid trading chips for some other move, for 2 months + possible, non guaranteed playoff of a rental.

yea Revere is a weird player, has world class speed but often takes strange routes to balls. WOAT arm, but he slaps singles and steals bases well. you can do worse @ leadoff these days, and if he slumps he can always get his Jerrod Dyson on and be a weapon on the basepaths

He was the starting CF for us but he was playing so horribly we called up Odubel Herrera who outplayed him once he got here. Herrera made him expendable
