Got lucky with that win with the ball bouncing off Springers wrist then Jepsen loading them up to Buxton saving the squad. Erv Santana has looked good his last 2 starts but the Stros are up there hacking so that helps. Got a lot of games within the division and can't afford to lose any series

Advanced stat heads, can you tell me why Bogaerts is a 3.7 WAR player according to Fangraphs? Looking at his stats, he appears to be average(sub .800 OPS, average defensive metrics), I don't understand the math that makes him a very good/great player.
AL is extremely mediocre this year
I'm not an advanced stats guy, but WAR gets weighted kinda funny. Kevin Kiermaier is fourth in the AL with a 6.4 WAR and his OPS is .718. I can't stand when people use WAR to point to a player's worth.
Kiermaier both to the eye and the stats is putting up maybe the greatest defensive season ever, man. In CF that has a lot of value
