Building off the last post, baseball is great because of the parity. Sure there are some teams that are good damn near every year now (tigers, cards, dodgers) but seeing Minnesota play so well with no good starting pitchers or Houston tearing shyt up is so good for the sport

Only the NFL has as greater parity as baseball

I'm just gonna re-post what I put in the Tigers' season thread since this gets more traffic:

fukking Ausmus and Joba...Price was clearly gassed and Ausmus leaves him in there for 120 pitches...only to bring in Joba with the bases loaded so he could keep throwing his fukking breaking balls.

This team is done. They need to miss the playoffs so they can fire everybody and start from scratch. They had a nice run, but they didn't get over the hump.

Their farm system is a travesty and they have a zillion dollars tied up in aging players. They absolutely HAVE to trade Price (and Cespedes). He's not re-signing with Detroit. Imagine if they lose Fister, Scherzer and Price in consecutive offseasons with NOTHING to show for it.

1. oakland was in the exact same spot (same record on 1 june) in 2012 and go look up how that season ended
