One of the guys on MLB Network said that Jose Iglesias is the best defensive SS in the MLB last night and all the other guys asked him if Andrelton Simmons died.

He stuck to his guns and said he believes that Iglesias is better.

Haven't seen a lot of Simmons and I'm being biased, but Iglesias is unreal. Gets to everything and has a great and incredibly ACCURATE arm. He has to cover for Castellanos on the left side too and that guy has been a pretty poor 3B so far in his career.

Iglesias is the truth.

Vote for my main man Brian Dozier. He deserves to be in the all-star game because he's the best 2B in the AL and most underrated.

Get Doze Gawd to Cincinnati brehs :mjcry:

For the Astros he would start off good and fall off. I'm still not sure why they DFA so soon when we keep guys like Grossman around. He's the one that got away..
He's been a sponge with Miggy and credits him a lot with his development. Revamped his swing to mirror Cabrera's. Been a godsend for the team.

He had a weird stance in Houston. I'm glad it worked out for him. I was excited to see him come up and didn't like when he got sent to the bushes.

I wanted him to start but since Infante screwed everything up I voted more times for Altuve since he was the only one close in votes. I vote for him because he desreves to be there.

no doubt. I aint mad at Altuve or Kipnis to be honest. Both have bigger names and are having good years too. Theres always gonna be snubs but I feel like at a position like 2B, when youre leading the position in most major offensive categories, you should be there

how didnt Drew Storen make the All Star team? :dahell:

National League Manager Bruce Bochy selected eight starting pitchers and five relievers — the five being Aroldis Chapman, Francisco Rodriguez, Jonathan Papelbon, Trevor Rosenthal and Mark Melancon. Rodriguez and Papelbon are the only representatives from their teams. Of those relievers, only Chapman (16 saves) and Rodriguez (18 saves) are striking out more batters per nine innings than Storen. Only Chapman has a lower FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) — Storen’s is 2.02, Chapman’s 1.78. Only Rodriguez has a lower WHIP than Storen’s 0.97.

Having not pitched much during the first two weeks in June, Storen came in to pitch the ninth inning of a 16-1 battering of the Rays. He allowed a three-run homer. With that outing, he has a 1.97 ERA. Without it — and this may seem like a useless what-if statistic but provides a better measure of his actual performance — Storen would be pitching to a 1.16 ERA. At the time the roster was named Monday, that would have been the second-lowest reliever’s ERA in the majors, tied with Familia behind Rosenthal’s 0.70.

He's underrated at hitting the ball too, way better hitter than Simmons

Altuve, Kipnis, and Dozier are on another world when it comes to AL 2B. I can't stand Royals fans and never will again because of this fukkery

Iglesias is a damn good defender, but come on now, we're talking about Andrelton Simmons. No shame in coming in behind that dude when you're talking about defense.

But Altuve won the vote. So fukkery aside, atleast somebody deserving won the vote.
