That fifth wild card is a bytch. Realistically, y'all have a decent shot at that because the twins are starting to fade so if Might gets back to health, you could easily pass them.

Have a GM try to save his job at the detrmient of long term success, brehs

This is reaching Millen levels of ineptitude:

They probably could win one of the Wild Card spots, but what's the point? They've given up the second most runs (only one behind Boston) in the AL by a mile and that's WITH David Price. Nobody has a worse bullpen and nobody has worse 4 & 5 starters. This team would get gang raped in a series.

Trade all of these pending free agents and at least try to add some depth to the organization. :snoop:

He's gonna lose Fister (given away), Scherzer and Price in consecutive offseasons for NOTHING if he doesn't trade Price.

If they deal all these free agents (Price, Cespedes, Soria, Simon :mjlol: Avila :mjlol: and Rajai Davis), they'll be able to get some talent back. Their core foundation with Miggy, JD, Iglesias, Victor (raking after coming back), Castellanos (finally coming around), Kinsler, McCann and Gose is really good. They just need some fukking arms.

GMs and teams of every sport got caught up in the current time and just want something they can shows the fans and/or owners something that signifies success so they don't have to worried about getting fired for one more year. I just don't see how the whole Tigers organization isn't making dombroski realize that the expectations aren't gonna be met and a wild card playoff game appearance does nothing for the team.

Especially considering you would pitch Price in the wild card game leaving him available for one start in the ALDS :mjlol:

He doesn't care because his contract expires after the season and once he's gone, Ausmus will be fired too.

Nah, it was Sanchez's turn in the rotation. Price is scheduled for tomorrow.

There was a rumor that Rajai was getting traded to STL because he followed their entire team and front office on Twitter, but so far nothing has come of it and Dombrowski said he knew nothing about that.

Clippard to the mets for SP prospect Casey Meisner

seems like a decent get, need AAA bat for Zobrist tho

That's a good deal for both teams. Mets get a reliable setup man for Familia to upgrade the back of their pen and A's get a prospect with an upside. Mets have done an amazing job of developing their pitchers and who knows? This guy might be your deGrom 2.0? :sas1:

Keith Law is going crazy at the Mets for giving up a top 6 prospect in their organization. :mjlol:
