I'm watching the MLB app, and I don't understand why the league won't approach sponsors to get ads through game breaks.It doesn't make sense to just have the "commercial break in progress" screen, when you can make extra money showing a McDonalds or Coca Cola commercial.

Also given how baseball is trying to become popular with the under 30 crowd and many youths are cutting cable, why don't baseball take off the blackout restrictions for an extra fee(maybe charge 30-40% extra)? I understand there are huge TV deals, but that money won't last forever since most baseball fans are 50+.
