Eh, those Tampa writers put him 4th or 5th, which, considering they left him off completely, is more reasonable than them putting him 3rd, he still loses. I think him getting only two 2nd place votes is more interesting than him being left off 2 ballots. Porcello winning is definitely a joke. The only reason he won is because of how good Boston's offense was. Dude got nearly 8 runs of support in his starts. That's insane.

It was a weak year for the AL, but Verlander was by far the best of the bunch. At point did I look at Porcello and think he was elite.

Syndergaad and Kershaw were tied for WAR in all of pitching for WAR. Britton was unbelievably dominant in an AL race that didn't have a clear cut superstar ace starter.
