Braun has more hr's,rbi's a higher ba and ob% than anybody on the giants team besides belt(ob%) and he'll be 33 in november
It probably won't take a lot of prospects unless the Brewers eat a lot of the contract

so ? again, I dont like giving out our last prospects for someone whose old with a huge contract and injury/roid history. I dont believe in the 'win now' mentality.
Considering what Heyward got and guys like Choo/Ellsbury, etc. got, Braun's on a bargain deal. He's a complete piece of shyt, but he's still producing and with Bumgarner/Cueto/Shark in the rotation, SF will be in the hunt for the duration of Braun's contract. Assuming they don't have to give up that much, I don't see what it'd hurt. Braun's only had one really injury plagued season.
Wonder if they might try to move him to 3B in the future if they got him. He used to play SS, so I'd think he should be able to handle it.
