Rizzo likes to horde youth talent, often times to a detriment. There is no way I can see him trading any of our top prospects, especially not Giolito.

I can see him trading Joe Ross tho.

Royals' title got everyone going crazy over elite relievers

thanks for having a shyt season, Ryan Madson. and fukk your blister, Rich Hill you frog lookin b*stard

Closer was always important even before the game got specialized the past few years

Look at how important Mariano was to the Yankees.

But Would I give up the top starting pitching prospect in baseball for one? Probably not

How was it a bad trade. You get an all star SS who led the AL in steals. Sounds like a fair deal to me :mjpls:

Lets hope its not another AJ Pierzynski for Joe Nathan and Liriano trade again. If youre a giants fan of course :blessed:
nunez is a one year rental that is overachieving. this is literally the worst trade on paper since that liriano trade imo

I'm pretty sure he has team control til 2017. Either way, the pitcher seems to have mixed reviews and at best is a #4 or 5 starter. But to get him for a guy having his best season ever seems like an overpay. But if Nunez helps you win a title, then it wont sting.

idk if Miller would even close for WAS, Papelbon would have another hissy fit and gut the clubhouse. everyone wants a 7/8/9 guy but these prices are steep

tbh if we hadnt had a dire need for a starter or a lefty reliever, I wouldnt mind this as much. if nunez had power and was a good outfielder, I wouldnt mind. but hes neither and we traded away a good lefty arm :snoop:

Jon heyman said the yankees wouldn't do a straight up lucas gioloto for andrew miller swap :why:

a team that sucks wouldn't want a top 3 prospect and a top of the rotation starter for a reliever when they about to miss the playoffs for the 3rd time in 4 years :what:

Value 31 year old closers more than 22 year old potential aces, brehs.

He's done nothing to show he's a top of the rotation starter. Elite prospects become bust all the time.

They would still need to include at least one or two more prospects for a trade to happen.

If his player on The Show is accurate, this guy's gonna be a future closer.

It's been 4-5 games :ld:

I know prospects are crapshoots.Other pitching prospects ranked as high as giollito were david price, kershaw, strasburg, king felix, josh beckett to name a few.All ended up being top of the rotation starters

Morosi has just reported that the Nats are willing to deal Giolito for Miller, too. Do it Cashman. :to:

I still can't believe how well Cameron Maybin's played this season. Nothing suggested he was capable of playing this well.
