Trout gonna be screwed outta MVP cause his team sucks?
Is Bryant starting to run away with NL MVP?
Trout isn't blowing anybody's season away in the AL. Altuve, Donaldson, Betts and Machado will all finish higher than him in voting.Trout gonna be screwed outta MVP cause his team sucks?

Bryant is probably the favorite, but I think Daniel Murphy should be neck and neck with him. Putting up some crazy numbers in a much more mediocre lineup. Plus, look at what his current team is doing with him and how much the Mets have struggled without him.

Yeah I guess, so are Trouts though and hes more valuable defensivelyI think Altuve should win it over Trout regardless. His numbers are ridiculous
The fact that we're discussing a Trout vs. Altuve slugging battle says everything about what Altuve's been pulling off this yearYeah I guess, so are Trouts though and hes more valuable defensively
Dude has like a 440 OBP% right now and will end up beating out Altuve in SLG% too

I wasn't talking about his size, but Altuve is not a slugger. He's 3 HR's shy of Trout, driven in more runs, hit for a much higher average, strikes out half as much, and he's on a better team which tips the scales in terms of value. When you're on an awful team like the Angels, your numbers better blow everyone out of the water to win MVP like A-Rod did and Trout hasn't done that.so Altuve gets extra points because of his size now ...![]()

Ehh, the OBP is somewhat negligible when you consider Trout has two more combined hits/walks than Altuve and basically the same number of games. Altuve is actually slugging higher too, which means he's juicing in my book.I wonder why hes driven in more runs (and barely at that)
hits for higher average but you're gonna ignore Trout crushing him in OBP%
and no mention of Trout being an excellent CF when Altuve is at 2B
like you said, this is why he'll beat out Trout for MVP
Trout is definitely 'more valuable', hes just stuck on a shyt ass team

Yeah and 30 less ABs for Trout cause his team ain't as good
Honestly Trout it simply more valuable when you encompass every aspect of the game, I don't think it's up for debate
I was just moreso noting that him missing out on MVP was due to team record, I didnt intend of being in here trying to make an argument he should win it
but dude is pretty clearly the best player in the game and it feels like hes hardly mentioned lol
