This year I'm trying to get into baseball brehs, I understand the rules and shyt but I just need a team to follow. Last year I watched the world series for the most part and got hooked. I'm from the northwest and the Mariners suck ass from what I hear and have been terrible for years so I ain't trying to make them my squad. Help brehs, even copped MLB the show to get me more familiar, it don't come until tomorrow tho
M's should be better this season, so they wouldn't be a terrible option. You should be able to watch their games on Root locally too, so you'll be able to follow them daily.
If not, watch nationally televised games until you see a team you like. Everybody's different.

I don't even know anymore...
Mariners SHOULD be pretty good this year, but baseball is just like every other sport, where things don't always go as everyone thinks. Also, it's really hard to make the playoffs, so if that's your main hope, keep that in mind. Cubs are the easy bandwagon team because they're young with lots of good young bats. The "other" New York team (Mets) should also be fun to follow. Giants have won it all the last 3 even years, and this is an even year, so yeah.
In the AL, the Astros and Royals are both good choices, while being completely different teams. Then there's the Blue Jays, who some thought was the best team last year. Lots of good choices to latch on this year.
Also, The Show is great and awesome.
