Eventually if the Sox stay in contention they will have to trade for another big bat.
My ideal situation would be for Toronto to fall out of contention and we could make a play for either Encarnacion or Bautista to come DH here. They would be rentals since theyre UFAs and I'm guessing Jays would move them if they weren't winning games
I don't see that happening tho. That Jays lineup is too good to continue dropping games.
I could see Sox picking up a Jay Bruce type at deadline instead. They ll have to do something

How well are the Cubs playing right now? They lead the majors in fewest runs allowed, rank second in runs scored per game, rank second in Defensive Runs Saved, rank first in baserunning metrics and the bullpen is third in wOBA allowed. They are without a weakness.
