Nightengale just wrote an article that contained the words "Sure, Los Angeles Angels center fielder Mike Trout is better than all of them, but this isn’t the most outstanding player award. It’s the most valuable" in advocating Betts for MVP. 
The fact that there's a real possibility that Mike Trout could have only ONE MVP award despite being the best player in baseball for FIVE straight years is just depressing.
The fact that there are still ppl that don't understand that an individual player has no control over who his teammates are is mind boggling.
The fact that those same ppl would reward a player (and penalize another player) for how good/bad the other 24 (or more) players on their team are, in an INDIVIDUAL Award vote, is mind boggling.
I just don't understand how that type of thinking is still around. I wish it would just go away already.
