Cespedes and his agent see Heyward getting paid $184 million to ride the bench in the playoffs and figure he's due for about $300 million. :patrice:

You're just trolling here :russ:
Heyward got paid because he's young; plays defense, gets on base, and can run.

Cespedes is on the wrong side of 30. He'll likely get 100+ mil, but there's no way he nets a 6+ year contract. If he leaves, I just hope the Mets go hard after Cain or Donaldson(assuming the Jays blow it up).

We gonna keep this thread going or start a new one? Whatever the case, Award Finalists are out, and Britton is NOT a finalist for Cy Young. Thank God.

Nats first team since '06 Twins to have 4 finalists (Murphy, Scherzer, Turner, Baker).

We need a new one, but keep this one afloat because Verlander is a finalist for the Cy. I need to dig up @Brozay post laughing at me when I said Verlander is still one of the best pitchers in baseball.

White Sox are the most interesting offseason storyline

I have no idea what they're gonna do (I'm not sure they do either)

Whatever they do, it'll probably be better than the Tigers. Detroit is slashing payroll. They traded Maybin to the Angels for a reliever. :to:

They had one of if not the best winning percentage in the AL when he played this season. Tyler fukking Collins might be the full-time center fielder now. :mindblown:

Yes. :snoop:

But he was great when he was on the field this year and made them a different team. They are not gonna be able to replace him for $9 million, which is what he's making this year. :yeshrug:

I say go for it..I don't think there that far away especially if they can sign a big bat

I agree, I don't think they are far off from being a playoff team. I mean you see teams like the Dodgers and Orioles in the playoffs and the talent level isn't far off at all. They would need to spend and add a huge bat (Edwin, Bats, etc), and probably a solid CF and they should be good. I just don't think they will spend what's necessary
