So Candelario and Paredes for Wilson and Avila?
All the Tigers are trading for is infielders. Five players they've gotten in return and all of them play third or short.
Cubs came up on that one. They have insurance with Wilson if they let Davis walk this winter and Avila is having a career year.

someone like Wilson, who is under a contract for another year should be bring a nice package by himself, not even counting guys like Avila and Martinez having all star type years. Organization gave Avila full control and this is what he doing with it. I just think all those years we had the team and just couldn't get it done and cant even think about without getting legit upset

The idea of trading for young infielders is that you can convert them early to wherever you want them. That was the logic last year when the Yankees traded for Gleyber Torres even though it looks like Didi Gregorius is our SS moving forward.
