Aaron Boone is the Yankees new manager

Nah I don’t think he’d take the meeting if he didn’t want to give them a fair shot. Plus the Marlins want it to be the Cards since they have far better prospects to offer.Man, I feel like it's just a courtesy meeting. If he doesn't wanna be here, who needs him.

Unless you have somebody totally incompetent like showalter@Remote what do you think? I feel like managers are overrated when it comes to impact in baseball, but with this lineup and staff, he'll be fine. I'm assuming he's good with the execs too
I don't think I would have picked Boone, but the Boone family is somewhat royalty when it comes to baseball so that probably helped his stock.@Remote what do you think? I have no fukking clue.
How much of the contract are the cards willing to absorb though?Nah I don’t think he’d take the meeting if he didn’t want to give them a fair shot. Plus the Marlins want it to be the Cards since they have far better prospects to offer.
That's the real question. They can definitely afford him, they just got a huge TV contract. But they've been cheap over the last few yearsHow much of the contract are the cards willing to absorb though?
