Martes looked awful today, he had zero command of the strike zone. Hope this performance doesn't rattle his confidence.

Really good road trip overall though, but I'm starting to get concerned over how many innings the bullpen is having to throw with our starting pitching issues.

I still have no idea what the hell happened on that play.

Devo and Harris :takedat:.

Present your offers fellas.

Apparently the Astros have asked for DeGrom :to:, they're going for it... :picard: BUT they're going to have to blow Sandy away :steviej::whew::stopitslime:

I'm sure they going to want Martes/Tucker. But we got other guys that we can give too.

Miguel Montero on the 7 stolen bases by the Nats last night.

Cubs' Montero blames 'slow' Arrieta after 7 SB

That's the reason they were running left and right today, because they [Arrieta] were slow to the plate," Montero said after the Cubs' 6-1 loss. "Simple as that. It's a shame it's my fault because I didn't throw anyone out.

"It really sucked, because the stolen bases go on me. But when you really look at it, the pitcher doesn't give me any time, so yeah, 'Miggy can't throw anyone out,' but my pitchers don't hold anyone on."

He's wrong for saying it to the media, but 90% of all stolen bases are on the pitcher, not the catcher.

Montero handled it poorly but he is right.

D'Arnaud has a similar gripe, but he hasn't made it public. He doesn't really have a chance because Mets' pitchers don't hold runners well and are slow to the plate... looking at you Syndergaard.

Anthony Rizzo complained about his spot in the lineup.
Maybe he should shut the fukk up about what's unprofessional.
