Baseball has gotten better with the luxury tax teams like the Yankees whole they'll still outspend everyone can't do it as blatantly as they used to but the sport needs a cap

You can't have teams that can't afford to compete. Either that or get rid of teams like the Marlins and Rays. This is stupid

Why does this cap talk only come up when the Yankees make a move? The Dodgers have a higher payroll. They were out there spending recklessly and nobody said shyt.

The Marlins' issue isn't that they're not making money. Their issue is that Loria didn't give too much of a damn about competing year in and year out.

Teams like the Rays and A's will spend wild amounts of money when they get their stadiums.

Brian Cashman with what looks to be his 3rd career salary dump trade for a perrlenial all star.

Alex Rodrieguez 2004
Bobby Abreu 2007
Giancarlo Stanton 2017

He'll see another one of these before he steps down.

Players will never agree to a cap so forget it

Giants are going all in on JD

Cards got plans in the works for Longoria and trying to go after Machado

They also have said they plan on going after a few players such as Carlos Gonzalez and players like that in FA or the possibility of trading with the Marlins for Ozuna or Yelich

There is nowhere in life where someone should have their salaries capped. FOH

The new Marlins ownership doesn't have money either. They won't be able to compete for years with the current fire sale. They need to be contracted. They stole that city money and have done nothing to pay back Miami.

As far as the Mets go, I'm done being a fan. The front office is not looking to compete. The Wilpons won't sell. The only way the team gets new ownership is if they die or MLB finally sees they have no choice but to take the team back and give it to someone who will spend money like Mark Cuban.
