Nah. They had 2 bites at the apple, at home, and lost both. If they had won Saturday (also at home), they would've been watching this game from home waiting on the winner. That's 3 games in 4 days, where all they had to do was win once. Oh, and in those 3 games, they scored 3 runs. Combined. It's their own fault they're out now.

Doesn't matter. Let them be the lone Wild card then. Or let COL/CHC possibly play 2 to decide the winner.

Funny how the "they should've won their division" argument is only applied to the team with the better record.

cubs only fished like 4 games better than colorado, this isnt some tragedy, they lost two elimination games both at home. they played like shyt they deserve to be home

Now, the Cubs did benefit from this 3 years ago, so I don't feel that sorry for them.

they'll never change it back to how it was and they're not gonna add more games. The whole point is to be so disgusted with being a wild card that you'll do anything to avoid it, and by that, win the division. The wackest thing about it is that they got spoiled a few years ago with game 163's organically that they want that every year.

hell, this shyt only came about because the Yankees and Red Sox would dust everyone and then not give a fukk when they played each other late because we both knew we were going. Teams care about that division more than ever and they don't wanna treat the wild card with the same respect as the division leaders. That's why regardless of record, they never get home field and gotta win that 1 game.
