Coli told me the Government Stimulus checks are not gonna cause inflation :dwillhuh:
The “inflation” we’re experiencing as a whole has to do with much more than stimulus checks. Especially considering the statistics that say a lot of people used stimulus checks to pay down debt. The supply chain mess caused by the pandemic, causing an insatiable increase in demand, has had just as much, if not more, to do with rising costs as the extra money supplied via stimulus checks.

fukk it, I just been trimming myself. I know I don't look my best, but I wasn't spending all that money to look sexy in the house by myself. I've had one real cut since the pandemic began.

The irony is that what you're saying is literally what the Stimulus check is

The pandemic caused an instable market and more debt, and the government's bright idea was to "correct it" by inflating the dollar to pay down the debt

It's the same effect of taking out an unsecured loan to pay down your credit card debt. Absolutely IDIOTIC

???

I agree they went overboard with stimulus checks. I got one and I damn sure didn’t need one. But I had enough itemized deductions to get me under the pay limit. With that said, I didn’t say the stimulus check didn’t contribute to inflation. What I’m saying is that there are so many other factors that have nothing to do with stimulus checks that are contributing to the problem.

Stimulus checks have nothing to do with the fact that auto makers don’t have the chips they need to build new cars or that builders can’t get ahold of affordable lumber for construction jobs.

It’s a lot more than stimulus checks.

You're partly correct in your assumption. The stimulus bread has helped increase demand when supply levels were already low as it was due to supply chain issues from the pandemic. Therefore, prices were going to in order to meet the demand from the stimulus check that's been helping pump up the economy for months. Companies were going to have to raise prices in order to attract workers to meet the increase in demand.

Prices will start to level off once the stimulus bread wears off and demand for products and services decrease.
