If there was ever a team that just needed Bill Bellichick to get them over the hump a few years ago.
I’ve been saying since January of 2011 that this guy needs to go. There’s just no justification for his teams losing what seems like 3-5 games in this manner every season. Any other coach wins 3-5 championships with the rosters he’s had since 2008.

You’re the only guy on here who has been calling for his job nearly as long as I have. Same mistakes every single year. You could give him the 2006 defense with this offense and he’d manage to win just 10-11 games and lose in the divisional round. There are very few coaches I’ve seen who so clearly weigh down a roster good enough to go all the way and keep them from doing it but here he is every September being allowed to tank another season before it even starts.

As soon as he reacted the way that he did to their Sunday night home loss to Pittsburgh in 2010 (especially after they blew that 20-10 fourth quarter lead vs the pats which on its own would’ve given them the #1 seed) I knew he had to go. By the time the clock hit 0:00 on the divisional round loss in Pittsburgh which only even happened because of his, Cam’s, & Mattison’s incompetence which cost them the aforementioned 1 seed which would’ve set them up for a game against the jets it hit me that I’d basically be hate watching this team until he’s fired. The fact that he’s still here 15 years later when he’s got at least 2-3 losses that are entirely on him every year is genuinely hard to process. It reminds me of watching Aaron Rodgers have to waste his prime with McCarthy and Capers sinking the Packers every year. Basically 3 drives in a row with the game on the line his coaches took the ball out of his hands and trusted a defense that had been awful the entire game.
