He has no shot at winning the nomination in 2028. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that.
Newsom has at least a 20% chance at winning the nomination :dahell: he's got the biggest war chest, most name recognition (other than Kamala, who's known for being a loser), and DC insiders behind him, including the Pelosi machine

if Newsom has "no shot", i need to hear who you think is actually gonna win it :dead:

Newsom shyt doesn't stick once this really gets going IMO. You will never be able to convince me he can walk into Iowa, NH, or SC and win. Can't convince me a slick haired Cali dude is getting white midwestern or northeastern factory workers, teachers, and librarians to fukk with him. Then in SC you can probably bet on black voters going with Harris. I think both Newsom and Harris are bad candidates who will have the money and ego to stick around.

at least Newsom can make the case that he hasn't tried and failed. we already know for a fact that Kamala did :dead:

we didn't see Gore, Kerry, or Hillary try to stick around, and she shouldn't either. hopefully her "testing the waters" phase comes up with zero donors, which is a distinct possibility. the big money isn't gonna be stupid or emotional about this nomination, and they're looking WAY past kamala

Which means he has an 80% chance of losing and I was told by certain posters Dems shouldn't be crashing out on 80/20 issues. Only reason you want him as the nominee is so he can be the punching bag for you and Nap's anti-Tranny war.

what are you talking about? i don't want Newsom as the nominee at all :dead: how the fukk is he gonna stand on the debate stage with Vance and defend California having the highest gas prices in the country?

i'm pulling for Genocide Josh, as of right now. we need to go swing state, not dark blue state

and you didn't answer. if Newsom has "no shot of being the nominee", i'm genuinely curious who you think will win it

I’m not saying money shouldn’t line up on Newsom. He looks good right now, and the redistributing fight has been a massive win for him. My argument is that his image falls apart when he gets on stage and has to talk about his record, or goes into some Iowa town and has to talk to normal white people. And given your antics over the years I assume you think his record is terrible right? Or does it no longer matter because he speaks well and isn’t on the trans train (anymore)?

BTW zero issue with Newsom running. I do have an issue with Kamala running. Losers used to get a couple “could he run again” articles the year before, but nobody took them seriously and they chose not to run again. Now that the losers are women we have to trot them around the country, tell them we’re so sorry that happened to them, and threaten another run to right history lmao. It’s pathetic.

Like I said, I expect her to get black votes early. But as the losses pile up somebody will take over. My fear is she stays and tries to turn it into a “telling me to drop out is telling black voters their voice doesn’t matter” shyt fest. And then she’ll try to parlay that into endorsing someone in exchange for something.

i can at least make a case for Shapiro, and Newsom, in that order. Newsom is starting out with a floor of 20% support, so there's no writing him off. i'm not seeing anyone else in the mix right now that checks off more boxes than either of them. maybe that person will show up, but it's not kamala or buttigieg :mjlol:

mark kelly, beshear, and gallego are decent choices. if Newsom was from Michigan he'd probably put up 400 votes in 2028, but the cost of living in california just seems impossible to defend in a general election

kamala deserves a cabinet post in the next administration, and should help with campaigning in 2028. no one's gonna forget about her. but she doesn't have to actually run for president to stay in the mix

i think you're right. she's gonna get just enough support to justify the run, but not remotely enough to actually win the nomination, and it's just gonna cause resentment when she loses :dead:
