didn't see Large Professor either
their criteria is that the person had production credits before being an MC, and Large Pro came out as the MC/producer on the Main Source single before producing for other people, so he doesn't fit

2. he produced records for Rakim & G Rap before Main Source came out
the first Main Source single was in 1989. Let the Rhythm Hit 'Em and Wanted: Dead or Alive came out a year later in 1990

dont see why its a crime to see Kanye West at numero uno.
he's by far the best rapper out of everybody on that list and another else who was ever known as a producer before being recognized as a rapper too and he's better at producing than nearly all of them.

he has pretty much been known as a rapper as much as a producer since he entered the game.
Kanye West was in Rockafella back in 2001 the same reason Just Blaze was on there... because of their beat making.
that list is all the producers that made it to the game as a producer only. Thats why u didnt see Daz, DJ Quick, Lord Finesse, El-p, ect on the list as well.

all of the producers u posted just try to rap. Large Professor was a rapper/producer than a rapper who was a producer first.
NOBODY knew West could rap unless u knew him in person when he first came out.

I don't care if an artist has had ONE song written for them...any non-original composition, and they should be disqualified.
I dunno if someone writes ALL of Kanye's verses, but it's well-known that Rhymefest has written songs for Kanye before. That alone disqualifies him for the top spot, IMO.
