Load up the bench with more shooters - Covington can drain 3s, draft a guy who can shoot it with the Lakers pick like Mikal Bridges, resign Ilyasova, Belinelli, I'd go for Seth Curry, etc.

They overpaid him because the Sixers needed to hit the Salary Cap floor. Same reason why Amir Johnson got 11 or 12 million on his one year deal.

That’s not true. Their payroll was $100 million this season, the cap floor was $84 million, they could’ve paid him and Amir Johnson significantly less and hit the cap floor. Redikk has even said before in interviews that this was a “pay it forward” type of deal so they could potentially pay him less down the line.
